I am a self-taught artist living in Atlanta, GA. I tried to find a class on 'cutting out copper, nailing it to plywood, and then applying various patinas, acids, dyes, and waxes...and then making a cross out of copper, doing the same patina thing and then attaching it to the copper/plywood canvas'...but I couldn't find one...so "I" taught myself.

I have been attracted to copper for quite some time. The fragile purity juxtaposed with the somewhat harsh patina strongly expresses my disposition. Peel away the grime and dirt and there the truth lies...the real reason.

The conviction is relatively new. It took several people and events for it to manifest. But manifest it did and now, thankfully, there is no doubt.

Since I live in my head for the most part, this is the only way I know to truly express the totality of "my" thoughts and ultimate inspiration...avoiding the fatigue and inadequacy of spoken words.
